We had to look up the cost of using the Cowes Floating Bridge (sometimes called the Chain Ferry) last week.
We found the information a little hard to locate on the council’s Website.
It took quite a few clicks before we got to the info, so we thought we gather it all here for you.
The prices are correct as at 30.May.2012 and came into effect on 1 April 2011.

Timetable
It’s a continuous service and easy to tell where it is. It’s either on the side you’re on, crossing the middle, or you can see it on the other side :)
Monday to Saturday the service starts at 05:00. Last sailing from (West) Cowes is 00:25 – from East Cowes 00:30.
It’s different on Sundays. There’s a single ferry that leaves (West) Cowes at 06:35, then returning from East Cowes at 06:40.
The service then halts until it restarts at 07:00, when it runs through until the last sailing at 00:25 from (West) Cowes – 00:30 from East Cowes.
All times are subject to tides, weather and conditions.
You can contact the Ferry Manager on (01983) 293041.
