Further to the serious incident on the Floating Bridge on Friday evening, police confirm this morning they are continuing to investigate the collision.
The incident took place at 6.40pm on Friday 7th August and involved a car and a person on foot.
Worker suffered serious injuries
A member of the floating bridge staff was taken to St Mary’s Hospital with serious injuries.
Police confirm that he is now in a stable condition and has is family remain with him.
80 year old assisting police
They also say the driver of the vehicle, a man in his 80s, is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
Police say,
“We appreciate the assistance and patience of the public during this investigation.”
