Flood Alert issued for Eastern Yar: Take precautions and stay safe

The Environment Agency have issued a Flood Alert for the Eastern Yar.

Issued at 11.20am, the warning reads:

“Flooding is possible in this area. Monitor local water levels and weather conditions.

“Avoid using low lying footpaths or entering areas prone to flooding.

“Start acting on your flood plan if you have one.”

The Environment Agency Flood Warning System issued the message based on rising river or tidal levels, as they are temporarily automating messaging due to industrial action.
