If you are interested in learning how to forage the land for food and take on some ancient hunting skills, Aldermoor Farm is to place to be this Saturday morning.
Vav Simon is will be following the footsteps of our ancestors to teach you about their skills, tools and diet.
You’ll be walking the land, finding food to eat and preparing a meal. All the seasons will be covered with special note of what to avoid.
Before our forebears began to farm, the people of this land were hunter/gatherers. The basic skills in survival that these people used will be compared to convenient amenities today.
With respect for the land, its plants and animals, we will learn codes of conduct and together we will share our firepit meal and reflect on what we have learned.
No previous knowledge is required. Outdoor clothing is advisable. Take a knife if you have one.
Refreshments and equipment provided.
No animals will be trapped or killed for this workshop.
