Former Ventnor Cemetery Lodge House To Be Sold By Council

A Delegated Decision issued yesterday recommends accepting an offer of £169,950 for the freehold lease of the former lodge house at Ventnor Cemetery.

Newport Road Lodge House:As part of the 2011 Strategic Asset Management Plan, the two bedroom property, which is owned by the Isle of Wight Council was “highlighted as a non-operational property which generated a low revenue income and it was therefore identified as a potential capital receipt for the 2011/12 capital receipts programme”.

Let to Probation Board
The papers reveal that since 1999 the former lodge house has been let to Hampshire Probation Board, who have used it as residential accommodation for a member of their staff.

Two offers on the property, which went on the market with an asking price of £164k, has led to the offer price of £169,500.

We noticed the property had a Sold sign outside it yesterday.
