Following the resignation of Chief Constable, Alex Marshall in October 2012, news is released today revealing that four candidates have been shortlisted for the post.
The job of selecting a new Chief Constable falls on the shoulders of the new Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC), Simon Hayes.
We understand that Mr Hayes’ choice for the new Chief Constable will be revealed on Monday next week (21st January). The decision of the PCC will then be scrutinised by the Police and Crime Panel and a decision announced by 30th January as to whether they approve his decision
The role attracts a salary of £146,521, with a car allowance of £40,000 and relocation allowance of up to £35,000.
