This coming Sunday (23rd June) the Friends of Frank James will be returning to the former former Frank James Hospital site in Adelaide Grove, East Cowes for another of their clear-up sessions.
This month, however, they will be joined by some very special guests.
The great-great niece of Frank James, Sarah Matthews (daughter of William James) has been in touch with the Friends to let them know that she and her cousin, Venetia Worthington, are planning to visit.
Mrs Matthews is keen to find out what she and the James family can do to help.
Background
Guerilla gardeners first started gathering once a month to clear the site of overgrowth and weeds back in March 2012.
Every month a band of volunteers have returned to the site to continue the work, more recently attempting to secure the building from the ever-increasing attacks of vandalism.
The site is owned by a consortium of 11 individuals who have planning permission to redevelop the Grade II listed building.
