Free Art Fridays: Seek Out The Free Artwork Hidden Around The Island

It’s Friday, which means that it’s Free Art Friday and once again your chance to hunt out pieces of artwork which have been placed around the Island for you to take home.

Anthony Joyce seas sceneLast week saw four pieces from Anthony Joyce, all tucked away in various locations in Cowes and East Cowes which could be found by following the clues.

Today sees the number of pieces multiply with Emma Oatway, James WightCoach and Emma Powell all joining Anthony in placing work around the Island.

Where to search
Works will be placed around Yarmouth, Newport, Lower Ventnor, Bembridge, Wootton, Sandown.

Anthony will be putting out four pieces of work by himself and artist Vanessa Wayne – to seek them out follow the clues below.

From Wootton to Sandown ….

Clue 1
You may need a car to reach this place of reflection.
A place where men contemplate free from detection,
Keeping the wealth away from the poor,
Would you be welcome should you knock on the door?

Clue 2
Sticks and stones,
Very, very old bones,
Enclosed in transparent cases,
One of the Islands prehistorical places.

Clue 3
To the junction where the birds meet the hare,
To seek this one you must take great care,
A busy road and a lay by to park,
You shouldn’t go seeking this out in the dark.

Clue 4
This pictures in the place it was taken,
A place to help rescue those who are forsaken,
The service provided has saved many a soul,
Without their help there would be a daunting toll.
