Free entry to Classic Boat Museum for under 18s and new lowers entry for adults

The Classic Boat Museum has lowered its entry price to help families with the increasing cost of living.

The team at the museum want to welcome all to enjoy the museum, with costs increasing and families feeling the pinch, it is hoped offering a lower entry for adults and free entry for accompanied children, will make the museum more accessible to all.

New entry prices
All children under 18 will have free entry to both the Museum Gallery in East Cowes and the Boat Shed in Cowes when accompanied by an adult.

The adult entry has been lowered to £5 for single site and £9 for combined sites.

McNeill: As an entirely volunteer run museum we are able to be flexible
Mark McNeill, Chair of the Management Committee said,

“The museum displays a significant amount of the Island’s maritime history and we want to make sure that families are able to come visit in these difficult times.

“We still have to cover our running costs as well as our own increasing energy bills, however as an entirely volunteer run museum we are able to be flexible.

“We hope offering children for free and lowering the adult entry will be welcomed by families coming to the Island this summer.”
