Free family farm day at Warren Farm to raise funds for Mountbatten

Warren Farm, in Alum Bay, will open its gates on Sunday 7th June 2026, inviting visitors of all ages to enjoy a Day at the Farm as part of the national Open Farm Sunday initiative.

Running from 8.30am to 2pm, the event offers an opportunity to step behind the scenes of a working farm and discover how food is produced on the Isle of Wight.

What’s on during the day
The free event features a full programme of hands‑on activities, demonstrations and family‑friendly experiences.

Visitors can watch the cows being milked, meet the cows and sheep, join guided farm tours, and see tractors and farm machinery.

Children can enjoy a range of activities designed to spark curiosity about farming and the natural environment.

Food, ice cream and local produce
Food lovers will be able to make their own milkshakes, sample Warren Farm ice cream, and enjoy delicious hot food from Fat Shaun.

The farm shop will also be open, showcasing the farm’s produce and produce from lots of other local producers.

What to wear and how to get there
Guests are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear sturdy footwear, as the event takes place across outdoor farm areas. Free parking is available on site.

This year’s Open Day will also support Mountbatten Isle of Wight, with donations invited throughout the event to help fund essential end‑of‑life care for Island residents and their families.
