A diverse range of items can be most useful for those endeavouring to guide, inform and support therapy interaction with children – that is why the Friends of St Mary’s Hospital were pleased to give £1,791 to the Children’s Occupational Therapy Service.

Included in the successful bid list were two iPads and cases, a switch assessment kit, colouring pens, finger paints, easel board, messy trays, specialist cutlery, potty book, bead sets and a gift card to purchase pipe cleaners, pasta etc.

Expressing gratitude to the Friends, occupational therapist Amy Duncan said,

“It’s amazing just how many activities we can now offer the children, not only here, but also at homes and schools.

“Many children are used to a lot of technology these days, but until now we have not had the funds to purchase iPads, etc.

“The different games they play all help with their therapy.”
