From Post Office to creative oasis: Celebrate Ventnor Exchange’s nine-year journey

Ventnor Exchange turns nine later this week. The transformation of the former Post Office into a vibrant creative hub has been nothing short of amazing.

The team behind Ventnor Fringe Festival and Brave Island, took over the former Post Office in 2014 and year on year have continued to make improvements to the welcoming space.

As well as serving as a record shop, cafe and bar, the venue plays host to a plethora of groups and clubs, with a programme of ground breaking comedy and theatre performances over the winter months.

You can join the Ventnor Exchange team on Saturday 2nd December to help them celebrate this milestone.

Free tea all day
In keeping with tradition they’ll be giving away free cups of tea all day. There will be performances from some of the clubs based at the Exchange: an afternoon DJ session followed by a games evening to honour the different dimensions of Ventnor Exchange.

  • 12.30pm – 1pm – V. U. L .G.A (Ukulele Club)
  • 1.15pm – 1.45pm – VEX  (Spoken Word Collective)
  • 2pm – 4pm – Vinyl Lionel DJ
  • 7pm onwards – Games evening – bring your favourite board game to share with others or play some of our in house games.

Congratulations
Three cheers to all the team at the Exchange: Mhairi, Jack, Marty, Megan, Cara, Sam, Kai and Freddie.
