The Victoria Road Amenity Area in Newport was officially opened on Saturday by Rona Jackson who has been a resident of Victoria Road for 82 years.
Recent improvements have been funded by Newport Parish Council, Lottery Funding and the local residents association.
This was a very successful day, with entertainment provided by David Randini and Ed Miller and his band.
Local children took part in a fancy dress competition and enjoyed a bouncy castle.
Refreshments and a barbecue were available throughout the day.
This is set to become at least an annual event.
