The Ventnor Winter Gardens was packed almost to capacity tonight as the BBC Radio Four show, Gardeners Question Time was recorded there.

Gardeners Come Out In Their DrovesApparently some very interesting questions were asked and if you want to hear the answers, you can tune in on Sunday 19th August at 2pm to Radio 4.

The programme was introduced by the BBC host Peter Gibbs (usually seen presenting the weather) and thankfully the prayed-for sun shone and the sky was blue.

If anyone has any little ditties about the event, do let us know and we’ll share it with our readers.

Thanks to Mark for letting us know how the event went.

I listen regularly to GQT, and it will never be the same again for me. The whole show was a series of very funny blunders which are obviously edited out to make the usual BBC polished product.
The strangest question was by a lady who asked if her husband should continue to pee in the compost heap every night to accelerate the composting process. Answer – Yes

Simon Perry

That peeing point is hilarious!

Now waiting on tender hooks for GQT uncut.
