Here’s the next entry in Gareth Icke’s Liberty Tour Diary. Ed
Day four (Wednesday)
Coventry. As close to my Country and the tour goes.
It’s the Midlands and I’m a midlands lad. Something I was reminded of during todays BBC radio session.
I left here as a two year old but it’s nice to know they still remember me! :-)
Tonight we’re playing the Tin Angel. A nice intimate venue in the city centre. The Liberty Tour has been well received here and has built a tonne of anticipation. Lets hope we don’t disappoint.
I’m writing this from a flat of a fella called Colin. A guy I’ve never met and yet, is putting me up in his house, giving me use of his laptop and feeding me 1664. This is how great people have been for the duration. It really does restore faith in the human race. Only for some granny robbing bugger to ruin it again when I pick up tomorrows paper!
A bizarre fact… His wife has a Kody t shirt. Ha ha.
Last night we were in Norwich. A beautiful place. Really nice venue, great sound, great crowd and an understanding group of Norwich City fans. (My beloved Derby beat them last night and I made that point on the mic.)
Was in bed by 2am and on the road by 7am. I am dying, yet I am holding out on adrenaline to make a much needed appearance.
One sad point. I lost my guitar strap. I’ve had that bad boy for eight years and was a little part of me. Still, on to the future World of £9.99 extra long black leather. Long live the king.
Tomorrow Sheffield.
