A group of loyal supporters turned up at a wet 5pm meeting at the Peace Tree near Coppins Bridge yesterday, including MP Andrew Turner, Jill Wareham, Mark Chiverton and Cllr Geoff Lumley.
They were there to support Island resident Peter Venner and express their concern at the treatment of the people on the aid flotilla on its way to Gaza.
We chatted to one of them who went along why he went down – among other reasons, “To show out strongest objection to the raid on the ships.” …
