Runners from across the Isle of Wight came together on Wednesday 6th August for the annual West Wight Road Runners’ “Let’s All Run Together”.
Clubs taking part included West Wight Road Runners, Ryde Harriers, Dark Star, Isle of Wight Road Runners, Wight Tri, Vectis Academy and Wootton Bridge Runners.
Two scenic routes to choose from
The event started at West Wight Sports Centre, with around 70 participants choosing between two routes.
One was a challenging 5.5-mile course leading up to the iconic Tennyson Monument, while the other offered a gentler 5K run through Afton Marsh.

Support for the Isle of Wight Foodbank
Organisers encouraged runners to bring donations for the Isle of Wight Foodbank.
The appeal was met with great generosity, resulting in four large boxes filled with long-life goods and toiletries.
Community spirit at the finish line
After completing their runs, participants returned to the sports centre for refreshments and snacks provided by members of West Wight Road Runners.

Special thanks went to Chris Amy, who founded the event many years ago and is pleased to see it still thriving.
