Get Involved With West Wight Middle Celebrations

Thanks to Tracey Castle for sharing this news with VB readers. They hope that many past and present pupils will take part. Ed

West Wight Middle School is closing after 105 years of serving the local community.

A Celebratory Open Day will be held on Wednesday 29th June from 10.00am – 8.00pm spanning the life of the School – everybody is welcome to join us on this day.

We would like to involve as many people as possible who have had a connection with the school past and present.

Archive displays
The School would be delighted to welcome anyone who would like to contribute to or visit us on the open day which will include displays of photos, stories and artefacts stepping back in time to when the school was first built.

These can be directly related to the school or just memorabilia from the early 1900s to the present day for our ‘Decades displays’. This display will cover all decades of the life of the school.

There will be stalls available for anyone wishing to sell their arts/crafts/paintings/ photographs etc., available from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm

Be interviewed by present pupils
During the summer term there will also be opportunities for children to interview past pupils and staff to record their school memories – if you would be willing to be interviewed then please let us know.

We will have a memory book available for anyone who wishes to record anything they can remember from their involvement with the school.

This is your chance to meet old friends and relive your time involved with the school – don’t miss this opportunity.

If you wish to book a stall please contact Tracey Castle on 07833 258 818.
