The organisers of Ventnor Fringe Festival have announced their first show for this year’s Fringe and it’s a real treat.
International psych explorers Flamingods have been booked to kick off the Fringe in style, with a special Big Top show.
Not only that, but tickets are flying out of the door since Ventnor Fringe announced the news on their social media earlier this week, because they’re offering a ‘pay what you want’ scheme, where you can choose to pay either £5, £10, £15, £20 or £25 for your ticket.
Who are the Flamingods?
Inspired by the disco, funk and psychedelic sounds coming out of the Middle East and South Asia in the 70s, they channel these influences through a vision soaked in mysticism, positivity and sun-drenched imagery.
The band head to the Isle of Wight ahead of a new album slated for release in Autumn 2023.
Head over to the Fringe Website to book your tickets today.
More news to follow
More acts will be announced in the coming weeks, including the return of OnTheWight and The Book Bus Presents …. with a new subject and new panel. More later.
In the meantime, here’s a little bit of Flamingods action to get you excited.
