The Daily Mail are reporting that an enormous oyster was found recently in the Solent.
The oyster, that is ten times the size of a standard oyster, is undergoing an MRI scan to see whether it contains an equally enormous pearl.
They say the oyster is “more than 100million years old and is ten times bigger than a regular oyster shell”.
We’ll let you know if we hear the outcome, but whatever it is, we’re sure the fishermen who found the prehistoric specimen are keeping their fingers crossed.
