Like the Isle of Wight, Gloucestershire county council (GCC) are facing a legal challenge from library campaigners opposed to library closures.
As GCC prepare for High Court Action, local news site, This Is Gloucestershire, are today reporting they have been summoned to Westminster by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
Council officers will be expected to explain their decision to close ten of the county’s libraries to DCMS officials.
