Today the Marine Conservation Society released their Good Beach Guide, focusing in particular in the quality of the water around the area of the beaches.
Eleven beaches (listed below) on the Isle of Wight have been awarded their highest rating – ‘MCS recommended’.
Happily, not a single beach failed. Gurnard and Bembridge received a Basic rating and Shanklin, a Guideline Standard. Six Island beaches were listed as ‘Not Tested’.
