Isle of Wight artist, Guido Oakley, has been busy once again producing some outstanding pieces of work.
This latest, a sculpture called ‘Thunder and Lightning’, recently raised £45,000 for children’s charity CLIC Sargent.
The sculpture was auctioned at the CLIC Sargent’s Royal Windsor Racecourse evening hosted by Eddie Jordan. A whopping £640,000 was raised on the night to help children and young people with cancer and provide support for their families.
You might remember our feature on Guido’s spectacular fundraising artwork back in 2014. His resin and crystal sculptures raising tens of thousands of pounds for children’s charities.
‘Thunder and Lightning’
Guido tells us a little about this latest work, which is titled, ‘Thunder and Lightning’ face the wind, you are wild and free.
A majestic and magical animal, they feel your energy, they sense your nature, you must earn their trust, when you do they will take to far away places, lands of enchantment, wonder and awe.
What Horse loves most is to run free and wild …. untamed.
This is the true spirit of Horse … freedom.
Freedom is the most sacred and spiritual meaning of what it is to be the Horse.
Freedom in every sense of the word, mind, body, spirit. Completely in the moment of now, yesterday gone and tomorrow an eternity away.
The energy of victory abounds.
Horse is regal and fierce in competition, running her heart out to beat out her competitors to be the one to take first place, to have the crown of glory.
Having the heart of a legendary competitor, watch any race horse and you will see her true nature shining through to be victorious to walk beside the Goddess Nike, the goddess of Victory with her head held high draped in roses donning the prance of a celebrated champion.
Made with extremely sensitive crystals
He went on to tell us that the white horse is made up of Selinite, an extremely sensitive crystal, “that acts just like ‘liquid light’ from the angelic realm and universe”.
The crystal striations are pathways for the illuminated substance of spirit, he says.
Selenite resides on the threshold between pure white light and physical matter, bringing fifth dimensional light to third dimensional matter elevating the frequency of physical matter and lowering the frequency of light, enabling a new substance to bring spirit to matter.
The black horse is made up of Shungite and Elite Shungite, a crystal that is said to be around two billion years old.
Shungite is a powerful ancient healing stone that is said to be almost pure carbon, found in the Karelia region of Russia. It is incredibly powerful as it is one of the only known natural materials to contain Fullerenes.
Fullerenes occurs when carbon molecules father together into hollow, globular molecules. They are currently of great scientific interest to many researchers because of their ability to purify water, act as powerful antioxidants and the possibility of being a treatment of cancer.
Shungite healing stones help with detoxifying and purifying your body by absorbing and eliminating any negative energies or anything that is health hazardous to the body. They infuse your aura with light, allowing only positive and beneficial energies to reach your body. The Shungite metaphysical properties bring forth positive blessings and positive results, helping your know what is beneficial for a better and healthier future.
The most powerful of all Quartz crystals
Guido finished by explaining that noth horse heads have 24crt gold in the base and a herkemir diamond where the brain resides.
Herkimer Diamonds are the most powerful of all Quartz crystals. Being doubly terminated, they have the ability to not only transmit their own energies, but to receive spiritual energy and to amplify and focus it intently. They are reported to be harder than all other Quartz, giving them the strength and durability to handle difficult challenges beyond the scope of other Quartz crystals. What they lack in physical size, they more than make up for in spirit energy.
Both horse heads are set on a Purple Heart wood base from timbers of the oldest existing pleasure pier in the land. See if you can guess where.
