HantsWeb Awards: Real Island Food Company Shortlisted

HantsWeb Awards: Real Island Food Company ShortlistedWe were very proud to announce last week that VentnorBlog has been shortlisted for the HantsWeb Awards and promised to bring you more details on the other six shortlisted from the Island.

Congratulations to the Real Island Food Company who are shortlisted in the Best Small Business Website.

If you haven’t heard of the Real Island Food Company, you must have your head in the sand. As well as the broad marketing campaign that they’ve been running, we also spot their vans driving around the Island several times a week.

The service was set up by Jackie Phillips and Rachel Foy last year and with the help of some grants and personal investment, they have gone from strength to strength.

HantsWeb Awards: Real Island Food Company ShortlistedThey offer a delivery service of local produce from around the Island. The extent of why they can source for you is amazing. From IW Bacon and sausages to home cooked ready meals (what a brilliant idea), from things for around the home to herbs, fruit and vegetables.

The Web site is bright, attractive, extremely well laid out with intuitive navigation. It was designed and built by Matrix e-Business who are responsible for many Island Web sites including the likes of The Isle of Wight County Press and Gully Howard.

We think that what the Real island Food Company are doing is brilliant and wish them every success in the HantsWeb awards.

As mentioned last month, they have also been shortlisted for the 2008 Sustainable Business Awards.
