Police on the Isle of Wight are appealing for information as to the whereabouts of Simon Foster who was last heard from on Friday, September 28, 2012.

31-year-old Mr Foster, who comes from the Ryde area is deaf and is also known to go by the name of ‘Herb’ or Herbert to his associates.

Simon’s family have told police his disappearance is out of character.

Description
He is described as:

  • White
  • 5ft 8ins tall
  • Dark hair, slightly receding
  • Slight moustache and ‘goaty’ style beard
  • Blue Hazel coloured eyes
  • Very distinctive teeth. His bottom set never grew as a child and he still has no lower teeth now. The top set is irregular.
  • A red growth to side of nose and to ear.
  • A scar on chin and a very large scar on left leg from hip to knee.
  • Usually dressed in smart casual jeans and shirts with rolled up sleeves and a tank top.

Investigating officers said: “Have you seen Simon or do you know where he is?

“We are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and would welcome any information from members of the public.

“Equally we would urge Simon to make contact with us himself, to let us know he’s ok.”

Update: Police confirm that Mr Foster was not reported missing to them until 26th October, 2012. He is not believed to be a risk to himself or others and after exhausting all other lines of enquiries this is the next step to trying to locate his whereabouts.
