Having trouble securing a job? Help’s on hand at Ventnor Library

Thanks to Julia for sharing details of this employment support that takes place every Thursday at Ventnor library (when it’s usually closed). Ed

If you’re an adult who is job-seeking in Ventnor, please drop in to Ventnor Library on Thursday mornings between 9.30 and 12noon, or call in advance if you feel you would like one-to-one advice.

Ventnor Timebank has a small group of volunteers who have for the last four months been supporting local people to complete universal job match, develop CVs, improve computer skills and access training and courses.

Absolutely free
You can use the library computers for free and there is usually access to copying facilities.

Our friendly team work independently from Job Centre Plus who sign-post many people to us. The feedback from our users is that the relaxed sessions provide people with the time they need to complete applications and comply with JCP requirements.

Housing advisors
Also present on a Thursday morning is the Southern Housing Group professional Employment Adviser who is there to help SHG residents in a similar way.

We would love to hear from you if fancy joining us, just get in touch with Julia on 01983 852753 or 07974 600783.
