Dense fog disrupts cross-Solent travel (updated)

The Met Office say the fog should clear after 9am.

11.13am: Wightlink: Sorry folks: Y-L is running about 45 minutes late due to the fog. We’ll keep you updated.

10.54am: RedJet: Our high speed services is now back to timetable. We apologise for the earlier delays

10.38am: Hovertravel: Normal service has been resumed, in accordance with the summer timetable.

10.37am: Wightlink: Delighted to report that all services are running to schedule. The sun is shining and it’s a beautiful day on the IOW!

9.31am: Red Funnel: Due to dense fog this morning the Vehicle ferry service is currently delayed by approx 20mins – sorry for any inconvenience

9.19am: Wightlink: We are very sorry but there is currently a 1 hour delay on the PO-FI service.

8.32am: RedJet Due to the dense fog, resulting in longer crossing times, Hi-Speed is currently running a shuttle service until further notice. Apologies

8.06am: Due to the fog in the Solent the next sailing from Lymington will be at 09.00 The next sailing from Yarmouth will also be at 09.00

7.39am: Red Funnel: Due to dense fog this morning the Vehicle ferry service is currently delayed by approx 20mins

6.46am: Due to the heavy fog the Lymington – Yarmouth car ferry is currently suspended.

6.43am: Due to the heavy fog this morning Hovertravel are running a reduced service. The 0730/0800 ex ryde and 0745/0815 ex southsea have been cancelled. The service will operate as a shuttle service, with departures occuring as frequently as possible, however, this will not be to our standard timetable.

6.39am: Due to fog in the Solent the Portsmouth – Fishbourne car ferry is currently delayed by approximately 30 minutes. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, if you are concerned about your sailing please call 0871 376 1000 where will be happy to advise further.

6.27am: RedJet: Due to the dense fog this morning our Hi-Speed service is currently delayed by aprrox 15mins
