The Met Office have sent out a yellow ‘be alert’ warning of heavy rain all day Thursday for London and the South East including the Isle of Wight.
They say,
Outbreaks of heavy, thundery, rain spreading from the south during Thursday has the potential for some locally torrential downpours in places. The public should aware of the potential for some localised flooding
Update: The alert is now valid from 18.00 on Wednesday 2 October to 23.59 Thursday 3 October.
