Here’s the breakdown of Hants police’s largest drug haul

The BBC is reporting that police raids in Hampshire and Merseyside have resulted in “largest seizure of class A drugs in a Hampshire Constabulary investigation”.

Hampshire Constabulary have confirmed to OnTheWight that seven people have been charged and six have been released on bail. Warrants were executed at addresses in Hedge End, Fareham, Gosport, Park Gate and Merseyside on Monday as part of Operation Cowling.

What was seized
Drugs with an estimated street value of £11m were seized in the raids.

A whopping 42 kilos of cocaine, 3kg of cannabis, 2kg of amphetamine and MDMA with a street value of approximately £2 million pounds was seized in the raids. Approximately £200k cash was also seized.

Detective Chief Inspector Kevin Dennis, said:

”This is an important step towards disrupting the activities of organised crime groups. We will not tolerate drugs in our county and will continue to make Hampshire a hostile environment for drug dealers.”

The accused were due to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court today, 5 November.
