Visit Isle of Wight is excited to announce that the Island has been Highly Commended in the Best Domestic Destination for families category at the Family Traveller Awards 2015.
Hosted by BAFTA award winning presenter Katy Hill, the awards took place on 6 October 2015 at London’s highest viewing platform at the top of the tallest building in Western Europe, The View from The Shard.
The Awards, in association with Family and Friends Railcard and Efteling Theme Park were the first of their kind having been devised by Family Traveller magazine and familytraveller.com to recognise the best of the best in family travel.
Over 26,000 votes across 18 categories
The Awards revealed the results of the public and panel votes which saw over 26,000 recorded across 18 categories.
The expert panel was made up of Family Traveller Columnists Simon Reeve and Mariella Frostrup, Family Traveller Editor Jane Anderson, The Times Travel Editor Jane Knight and Elle’s Travel and Lifestyle Director Sue Ward Davies.

Award for Wightlink
Wightlink Ferries also won a Highly Commended Award in the Best Family Ferry Operator category at the ceremony.
