There has over the weekend, been some dispute as to how many people were on Saturday’s Stop the Cuts demonstration.
The County Press ran a headline claiming 500 people took part. This caused a fair degree of fury on Twitter and in the comments on VentnorBlog as those who had seen the march going through Newport, as well as those taking part, questioned why the CP would report the numbers so low, when they felt it was clear that there were many more people taking part.
3:51 worth of people
VentnorBlog shot many videos on that day and we’ve now uploaded this one filmed at the Top of Town which gives a very clear idea of how many people taking part.
If you were so inclined you could even go through and count how many then marching (some more joined passing down the High Street).
It runs for 3:51.
