It’s been a long time coming but The Winter Gardens has finally got the wheels in motion to present a monthly local live rock and indie night, starting on FRIDAY 7th NOVEMBER, mainly thanks to the Town Council’s generosity in providing the funds to purchase a permanent house PA system.
The opening bash promises to be a fitting start for a series of events that they want to make an established fixture.
After a series of summer festival triumphs and sold-out gigs on the island and further-afield, local heroes THE OPERATORS visit the south coast of the Wight hot off the October release of their debut single on Distiller Records, the outstanding hook-laden ‘B-Line’.
Main support comes from melodic magicians GOODBYE STEREO.
Also on the bill are Ventnor’s own IOW Festival Main Stagers KOSMIK DEBRIS and talented Lake maverick CLAYDON CONNOR.
Advance tickets are on sale now at the very reasonable price of £4 from the Winter Gardens’ box office for personal collection (Mon-Sat 12-2pm) or by phone on 01983 857581.
There is also an allocation behind the bar.
Barring a sell-out, entry on the night will be £5 unless you pick up a flyer that allows £1 off.
The music kicks off at 8pm and will continue until midnight.
There’ll be a selection of drinks offers available but please, please, please bring ID if you want to have a beer or three!
