Investigation into thefts from cars in Cowes

Police are investigating a series of thefts from parked cars in Cowes on the Isle of Wight.

Open sunroofAt least six motorists have reported thefts from their vehicles parked in Parklands Avenue, Park Road, Baring Road and Mill Hill Road over the past week.

Valuable items on display
Money and other valuable items left on display were stolen.

Police believe whoever was responsible for these thefts has been targeting vehicles with unlocked doors and sunroofs left ajar.

Officers are reminding motorists to secure their parked vehicles when unattended, and ensure any sunroofs have been fully closed. Please also remove any high risk or valuable items from vehicles.
