This weekend author Isabel Ashdown will be signing copies of her latest novel Hurry up and Wait at Waterstones in Newport.
Isabel has a strong Isle of Wight connection, as her first novel Glasshopper is set in Portsmouth and the Isle of Wight, and her third novel, which she’s currently working on will be set on the Isle of Wight.
Hurry up and Wait is set in the fictional seaside town of Selton – an anagram of ‘Solent.’ The location was inspired by Isabel’s experiences of growing up in the Solent area.
Award-winning and critical acclaim
Her first novel, Glasshopper, won The Mail on Sunday novel competition and was named one of the Debut Novels of the Year 2009 in The Evening Standard and The Observer.
Hurry up and Wait has had fantastic reviews in The Daily Mail, Glamour, Stylist, Sainsbury’s Magazine and Bella so far – with more reviews to come.
