WP Recruitment
After my wonderfully relaxing massage, I headed to the next stand, which was the second recruitment company there called WP Recruitment, again based in Newport, who were able to offer local businesses a variety of different types of workers – from administrators to hotel staff and catering help.
Mel and Kate from the company were very approachable, open to both those looking for work, and those looking for workers!
WightCOW
From the corporate to the creative – WightCOW.
Angela Hewitt’s vision to create a recognisable Island brand to help promote the Isle of Wight has successfully grown into a showpiece of beautiful paintings, with an image that will hopefully with time become synonymous with the Island.
Of course, I’m talking about the Friesian cow with a white (or should that be Wight?) mark on its forehead in the unmistakable shape of the Island!
This famous Wight Cow now adourns tea towels, drinks coasters, mugs, rock (the sweet kind!) and sculptures. Angela’s Wight Cow artwork can also be found on a variety of local greeting cards available at Tescos!
Rainbow International
I could not finish this part of the article without paying respect to a Tony, the business manager from the island’s branch of Rainbow International – a specialist cleaning company that provide expert recovery cleaning – whether for people’s houses or work premises, the company aims to provide services for helping anyone who’s been unlucky enough to suffer flood or fire damage.
The flyers even included some handy hints and tips on how to remove stains!
That’s the services side dealt with, in Part Three we move onto the fun food parts.
