Hovertravel have announced their service has been reduced to a one craft this afternoon and will probably remain in place until Monday.
The Island Express has been taken out of service after a routine inspection by engineers identified a potential fault in relation to fire protection.
A spokesperson for Hovertravel told OnTheWight,
“Our engineers will be on site working on the craft tomorrow and we will provide updates as to when the craft will return to service, which we anticipate to be Monday. Once the engineers have addressed the fault we can put the craft back into service.”

HovertravelLtd say “Our engineers have completed work required on Island Express & we’re back to normal timetable.”
