News reaches us that Isle of Wight firefighters are on route to two fires on the Island at the moment.
The first is a reported fire in Grafton Lane, Sandown. No further details at the moment, but we’ll update you when we have more.
Update: @isleofwightbob on Twitter tells us, “Ryde engine plus back up attending Sandown fire”.
Firefighters are also on route to deal with a fire in the end shed at the Bargeman’s Rest. Again no more detail at the moment, we’ll update you when we have more.
Update: Diana O’Reilly tells us, “I’m At the Bargeman’s now. Shed caught fire from a customers carelessly discarded cigarette!! All ok.”
Hoping both are dealt with swiftly and without any injuries.
