Following the massive amount of rain that the Isle of Wight has suffered over the last 24 hours, the problems have subsided in some areas, but worsened in others – not helped by the returning high tide earlier today.
VB readers have continued sending in shots (see other gallery) from around the Island to share with you, dear readers.
Many thanks to Julian Winslow (1st) for his shot of the rail tunnel by the Hovercraft terminal in Ryde.
To Lisa Dyer for her shot (2nd) of The Esplanade and beach huts in sunny St Helens.
Thanks to Sheryl Hollingsworth for the shot (3rd) of the devastation at Simeon Recreation Ground.
Finally thanks to Peter Boggett who braved the bad weather to buy his daily paper and to take a bus to Ryde and got some shots on the way. Hope you didn’t get too wet Peter!
