As we reported earlier today, the Isle of Wight Women’s Basketball team played their final match last night.

Rachael MewRachael Mew, who plays for the Isle of Wight Women’s Basketball team (N°10) has played in four matches for the Island Games this year.

She has been playing basketball for one year competitively and enjoys playing with her team mates.

Great performances from Team IW
Rachael has performed extremely well with her team in the previous games and scored at least 10 points in her last match against the Isle of Man.

We caught up with her after she had played her final match for the Island Games, she certainly knew what she was talking about.

We asked her what her and her team mates thought of the game and personal tactics for her performance.

She told VB, “We’ve only been together for five weeks training wise, and these other teams that we’ve going up against have been training for years so I think we did very well.

“We were more pumped up, adrenaline was going, we were just out to prove ourselves.”
