Island Line expected to be out of service for days following severe Isle of Wight rainfall

As you might expect Island Line Trains are still suspended today (Thursday) following heavy rain on the Isle of Wight in the last two days.

Due to heavy rain flooding the railway between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin all lines are blocked.  

Train services running to and from these stations is suspended and disruption is expected until the end of the day on 29/10.

Alternative transport
To assist Island Line passengers, your ticket will be accepted, at no extra cost to yourself, on the following services:

  • Southern Vectis will accept rail tickets on Routes 2 & 3 between Ryde and Shanklin

Island Line have arranged rail replacement transport to operate between Ryde Pier Head and Shanklin, however this is not set to a set timetable..
