Getting ready for the Royal Wedding? Well, love it or not, it’s going to be taking place on 29th April this year.
It looks like there are quite a few people around the Island planning to make it a big day.
A while back VB shared news that the council might require you to apply for a official permission if you were to close your road for a street party, or were planning to provide entertainment at the event.
A few knees-ups planned
Well, quite a number of people sound like they’re planning a knees-up or five.
Thanks to Gavin from the council press office, we now know that there’s been six applications to have roads closed for street parties and another five temporary event notice applications.
There’s still time to get in your temporary event notice, which have to arrive at the council by 12 April.

If you’ve got an event planned, don’t forget to add it to Events OnTheWight.
