Following an incident on the St Helen Wightlink ferry on Friday night, the MP is calling for the MAIB report to be delivered as quickly as possible to allay customers' fears.
The St Helen has been out of operation since its deck collapsed on Friday evening, while authorities carried out an investigation. Its return seeks to relieve pressure on holiday traffic.
Although apparently still under investigation after the mezzanine car deck collapsed last summer, the St Helen will now go onto pastures new in Italy, where it will continue operating as a passenger ferry.
Andrew Turner's volunteers were out in force yesterday, trying to get people to vote for him by handing out leaflets, including at Fishbourne - sadly they didn't have permission.
