Islanders will have another say on the draft Island Planning Strategy, the Cabinet member for planning has confirmed.
There has been concern raised on the Island that residents won’t have another say on the planning strategy – which once in place will used to guide development on the Island over the next 15 years – before it is set in stone.
Next consultation in May/June
Cllr Paul Fuller told News OnTheWight,
“The next feedback from consultation will take place May/June.
“My understanding is this consultation will take place by the Planning Inspector (PI), who will take ownership of this.”
He went on to confirm that although the Council will not be the recipient of the feedback from residents, the Council will be required to promote the PI’s consultation.
News OnTheWight will also let you know about it at the time.
