Isle of Arts Festival 2012: More Acts Confirmed As Tickets Go On Sale

With Sandi Toksvig, Supertramp sax-man John Helliwell with his band Crème Anglaise, as well as Aled Jones and two male voice choirs, Tipitina and The Nearly Naked Chef Hardeep Singh Kohli already announced, it’s great to hear more acts have been confirmed for this year’s Isle of Arts Festival.

Viva! OperaTaking place in Ventnor over the weekend of 20th-22nd April, the Festival, now in its second year, promises something for everyone.

Viva! Opera’s best bits
Hang on to your hats for an evening of great music, scheming aristocrats, wily gypsies and champagne-fuelled parties when the singers from Hatstand Opera come to town on Saturday 21 April.

This unashamedly eclectic selection of opera’s “best bits” is ideal for the opera shy and the dedicated fan alike.

Charles Dickens – the Squire of Gads Hill
Lloyd Lee returns as Charles Dickens, as he works on his final novel and, in the manner of one remembering old friends, shares his memories of past creations with us.

Lloyd Lee as Charles DickensJoin the great Victorian novelist for afternoon tea and an entertaining look back on his life and works.

Tickets are now available for purchase from the online box office.

If you pre-booked tickets they have been set aside for you. You will need to make your purchase in the normal way but make sure that you do it within the next seven days.

Tickets will be released back into the pool after the seven days.

Tickets are also available to purchase in person at Seasons newsagents in Ventnor High Street or through the telephone hotline (01983) 862 596 between 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday.
