Tom Price :

Live comedy to close the 2014 Isle of Arts Festival

Our very popular stand-up show on the last night of the festival has been threatening to outgrow its previous home (the Boathouse) for some time, so this year direct your feet to the Festival Marquee to be entertained by Alistair Barrie, Andy Askins and Tom Price (pictured).

Warning: heckling is definitely done at your own risk…

Tom Price
Tom Price will be better known to some people as beleaguered PC Andy Davidson who always got roped in to help Eve Myles’ character Gwen Cooper in Torchwood.

An actor, voice-over artist and comedian, Tom is also the voice of Monkey in the PG Tips adverts alongside Jonny Vegas, and is no stranger to the world of stand-up, apparently – so the Internet will have us believe – with a nice line in trousers?

Andy Askins
Andy Askins spent 15 years travelling the world as a musician before he realised he had a talent for stand-up.

Originally from the North East of England, Andy is now based on the Isle of Wight, but still travels widely to perform at comedy clubs, often accompanied by his trusty guitar! Behind his innocent demeanour hides a wickedly dry sense of humour.

Alistair Barrie
Alistair Barrie is a very busy man. Between writing, acting and appearing on TV, radio and at festivals across the world, it is probably only the promise of a nice home cooked roast dinner that has made him agree to headline our stand-up event, as luckily for us his parents live on the Isle of Wight!

Recently named by Short List’s Mr Hyde as one of the top five ‘comedians who should be in the Premier League of humour’, Alistair wowed us in 2013 and we are delighted to have him back!

Where and when
Live at the Marquee takes place at the Isle of Arts Festival on Monday 5th May from 9.15pm in the Festival Marquee. Tickets are priced at £8 can be booked through the Isle of Arts Festival Website.
