Isle of Wight faces multiple flood alerts: Latest updates from the Environment Agency

A combination of more heavy rain and very high tides has led to further flood alerts being issued by the Environment Agency on the Isle of Wight over the last ten hours.

Carisbrooke to Newport
At 10.15pm on Saturday night, a warning was issued for Lukely Brook, warning flooding was possible from Carisbrooke to Newport.

Half an hour later a flood warning was issued for Carisbrooke, Hunny Hill and Newport Quay Arts Centre.

Yarmouth
Just after midnight a flood warning was added for the coastal areas at Yarmouth, with flooding expected.

Gurnard
At 1.44am a flood warning was added for Gurnard Pines to Marsh Road at Gurnard from the Gurnard Luck.   Again, with flooding expected and residents warned to take immediate action.
