The Isle of Wight got a fabulous plug on BBC1’s Inside Out programme last night.
VB readers may remember back in May we broadcast an interview with did with Ben Southall, the Hampshire man who’d won a competition to be caretaker of Hamilton Island, dubbed ‘the best job in the world’.
The programme last night showed Ben travelling around the Island, coasteering (a bit like orienteering but along the coastline) in Freshwater Bay, meeting up with Helen Cunningham from Vintage Vacations and spending time with the Wheeler family down in Steephill Cove, Ventnor.
The Island was looking it’s best throughout the programme and is sure to have done the job of attracting more visitors to the Island.
You can watch the programme on BBC iPlayer for another six days by following the link below – the Isle of Wight segment is just under 20 minutes into the programme.
