Isle of Wight Foodbank Needs Your Help

Isle of Wight Foodbank would like to say a very big thank you for the tremendous support you have all given us since we began in April last year and especially in the run up to Christmas.

Foodbank LogoThe good news is that we were able to feed approximately 500 adults and children in December alone.

In the past five months, since we opened our first centre, we have distributed over 10½ tonnes of food to just over a total of 800 people who found themselves in crisis.

Desperately need your help
The sad news is that this reflects the high level of need for a foodbank here on the Island and we desperately need your help so we can continue to serve people in crisis.

We currently have six Distribution Centres up and running and serving communities around the island and are opening our seventh centre this month, in Shanklin.

How you can help
However, we still desperately need your help and support in a number of ways:

  • Financially”¦ donations can be given directly on our website: www.theisleofwightfoodbank.com
  • Non-perishable food can be donated at any of our 85 collection points which are located across the island – for more details please contact the office.
  • In person, at our warehouse which is on Somerton Business Park, Newport Road, Cowes – next door to the Steve Porter Transport depot. Opening times: Monday, Wednesday & Friday between 9am & 12 noon.
