Isle of Wight Garlic Festival makes Top 10 Food Festival list

The ever-popular annual food festival returns to Newchurch in August.

Garlic Festival:

Congratulations to the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival for making it into The Independent’s Top Ten Food Festivals.

Sitting amongst the likes of the Pembrokeshire Fish Week Festival, London’s Great British Beer Festival and the Nantwich Cheese Show in Cheshire. They say of the Garlic Festival …

It may be set in the towering hills of Newchurch, but this festival has a distinct French feel to it. But then it would, being dedicated to the joys of garlic. There will be food stalls, live music, a massive beer tent and more arts and crafts stalls than you could shake a garlic clove at.

The 2013 Isle of Wight Garlic Festival takes place 17th-18th August.
