Isle of Wight grunge rock four-piece Thesis have announced the release of their long-awaited debut single ‘Red Sea’, arriving on all major streaming platforms on Friday 27th March 2026.
Blending the raw energy of 90’s grunge with the intensity of contemporary metal, ‘Red Sea’ captures a sense of nostalgia while delivering a powerful modern edge.
The track introduces the band’s gritty sound and atmospheric songwriting, drawing listeners into a world shaped by both their musical influences and their Island surroundings.
Mixed locally at Skinny Mammoth Studios, the single reflects the band’s connection to the Isle of Wight. References to water and the surrounding sea run throughout the track, creating vivid imagery that mirrors both the band’s environment and the deeper emotional themes explored within the song.
Speaking about the inspiration behind the single, vocalist George Dollery said,
“The inspiration behind Red Sea came to me when I was at my most uninspired lyrically.
“I started writing it with no direction or thought behind it, but the idea actually came from watching Jaws for the first time.”
To celebrate the release, Thesis will be performing more live shows across the Island in the coming months and will host a special release event at Triple A Records in Newport.
‘Red Sea’ will be available on all streaming platforms from 27th March 2026.
